Santiago has more than 18 years of experience in the technology industry. His career spans engineering, project management, general management and consultative sales at some of the world’s leading software companies. He knows from the inside how a technology company is built, sold and scaled.

For more than eight years he led cloud, data and artificial intelligence business at Microsoft and Oracle:

• At Microsoft he was a Data & AI Sales Specialist and later a Cloud & AI Sales Specialist. He helped public and private organizations in sectors such as banking, healthcare and utilities adopt Azure technologies.
• At Oracle he was account manager for the financial sector in Colombia and Ecuador. He led sales of Oracle Cloud and data and analytics solutions for banks and insurers, with a focus on critical architectures, security and regulatory compliance.

He previously held executive positions with responsibility for the entire business:

• At Tinámica he was General Manager for Colombia. He was in charge of the company’s commercial, administrative and financial operations, and of Big Data and analytics projects in the utilities, telecommunications, retail and banking sectors.
• At AYESA he was Utilities Manager for Colombia and Central America. He led commercial operations and the implementation of SAP and GIS projects.
• At Geospatial he was Project Director, managing technical teams, budgets and tenders. His projects focused on geographic information systems (GIS) for the Oil & Gas, industrial and utilities sectors in Colombia.
